Uraretraditionala la romini in preajma Anului Nou, plugusorul a pastrat scenariul unei invocari magice legate de pamint.

El este in totdeauna insotit de sunete de pocnete de bici si sunete de clopotei doar plugul adevarat tras de pi a fost inlocuit cu un alt plug in miniatura mai usor de purtat sau de buhaiul care imita mugetul boilor.

Traditiile de Anul Nou, sunt adevarate ritualuri prin intermediul carora sunt invocate belsugul si sanatatea.

Cidesti este o cumun situata pe terasa a doua riului Dimbovita.
